About

We got tired
of guessing.

Content Peddler is a small team building one stubborn idea into software: the best piece you can publish is the one somebody already went looking for.

Why we built it

We kept writing posts that nobody had asked for. The research was the expensive part, the guessing was the demoralising part, and every tool on offer skipped straight past both to the blank box. So we built the thing that reads first, says out loud what it found, and only then writes.

What we believe

Three positions that decide most of the arguments we have about what to build next.

Position 01

Demand beats opinion

A topic is worth writing when people are already asking, not when it sounds clever in a planning meeting. Everything in the product exists to find that signal and put a number on it before anybody spends a day writing.

The method
Position 02

Show the reading

Anything a machine asserts should be traceable to something a person actually said. We keep every thread, excerpt and score attached to the run, because a draft you cannot check is a draft you have to rewrite anyway.

What gets kept
Position 03

Show the number

A confident tone is not evidence. Every run puts a figure on how much of the conversation actually circles your topic, and shows the threads it read to get there. You can disagree with the number, which is exactly why we publish it.

How billing works

Where we are headed

The blog post is the first thing we taught a run to make, not the last. The pipeline underneath, read the room, judge whether it holds, write from the evidence, is not specific to blogs, and the same six moves apply to a newsletter issue, a comparison page or a docs deep-dive.

What will not change is the order. The reading comes first, the judgement is published, and the writing happens last. Everything we ship gets measured against whether it makes that chain easier to check.

Who is behind it

A small team who had the same complaint and got tired of repeating it. We are building this in the open, and we would rather ship something you can check than something that sounds impressive.

If you want to argue with any of this, we would genuinely like to hear it, tell us where we are wrong.
